We had an awesome time at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria’s Moss St. Paint-In!!
Artist Kristin Urbanheart Grant painted model Eric Mazimpaka for a big audience at the Paint-In! The concept for the bodypaint was: Wolf– Just one of BC’s wild animals that lives on our West Coast. We are excited to announce that ECC Photography took some incredible photos at Moss Rocks, Victoria.. one which will be used as an image for the Stand Together Project.

The Stand Together: Art for the Love of BC project features bodypaint inspired by the beauty of BC. The intention of the project is to raise awareness about the Enbridge Nothern Gateway Pipeline proposal, and support Dogwood Initiative’s NO TANKERS campaign– which pushes to keep oil super tankers off our West Coast. The store currently features images with bodypaint by Urbanheart done with 8 different Vancouver Island photographers and 9 gorgeous models, to create a collection of vivid, edgy, beautifully inspired artwork.

The second phase of the project is being planned! It will include images from many Canadian artists and photographers who are currently sending in their submissions. We are still encouraging all Canadian artists and photographers who are inspired by the project to contribute their images! We are planning a large event which will include a live bodypaint exhibition, guest speakers, music and a showcase of the photographs created by numerous Canadian photographers and artists, who are being invited to submit images for the show. Stand Together is currently looking for galleries and spaces that will donate their space for the show. Stay tuned for more details on this big event!
