New paintings and window mural now at Sotheby’s International Real Estate on Douglas St in Victoria… (at Humboldt, just down from the Sticky Wicket). This is the second time I’ve done a winter window mural for Sotheby’s.. lucky me, the windows overlook a very busy downtown street, the office is part of the Victoria Conference Centre, and the indoor space is beautiful (perfectly lit for showing off my paintings!)
Last year I created giant snowflakes… this year is a twist on the theme– a collage of airbrush stencils– snowflakes, spiraling lines, leaves, ferns and berries :) Some of the stencils were also used in the art work that is on display, creating a cohesive flow of pattern and colour.
I look forward to attending the Sotheby’s Christmas Party again this year! Last year a very awesome connection was made with the owners of Victoria Premium Automobiles Ltd, and since then I have created several pieces of custom art for their showroom. I would love for another awesome commission connection to come out of this new work!
The window mural will be up throughout December… be sure to go check it out in person. The office is open from 9-5, Monday-Friday.
